Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small but powerful museum; if you are in Camp Verde I suggest you stop and take a look. The smallish size of the museum is somewhat deceiving especially if you happen to arrive when the docent that was on duty the day we were there is on duty. He is friendly and, I will say, an expert. We could tell he was interested in the subject matter and that he was skilled in imparting the information to others and a 'people person.' It made a great deal of difference.

This is a nice, very small, free museum (and visitor center). The museum is mostly one small room but has some nice things and a small mineral display in another room. The lady manning it was extremely nice and helpful.

The center is in a old school house. Alot of information about attractions in the area. Very nice free museum with artifacts covering local history. This should be the first stop when visiting here.

Gave us the information we needed. We were first time visitors and needed assistance for restaurants and sightseeing. We were able to get brochures that were helpful.

What a beautiful little place with soooo much history. The lady was very knowledgeable and helpful. Neat to see the original tin roof and oak floors that once was the elementary school.

Came here to get away from the big city rush and heat. Unfortunately, its not much better in this small town. People aren't very friendly, everyone seems to be in a rush, and just not very accommodating. Its really a shame because its a beautiful place in the dessert.. I just wish there was more hospitality in such a qauint town. I don't recommend going to Camp Verde if you expect small town charm.

The Rangers at the Fort Verde visitor center were knowledgeable and friendly. They suggested we don period costume (available for free), complete with props such as an authentic rifle, and even took a photo for us, then emailed it to my home computer. They went above and beyond to give us a memorable experience of a real military outpost.

Stopped in to get information on the area. Not only did the most friendly, helpful worker (sorry, didn't catch her name) provide pamphlets on everything we needed, but gave us "local insider" tips on places to eat & see. The Museum part was very informative & interesting. Would recommend anyone not familiar with the area to stop here first!

Hi, we are visiting and staying at Camp Verde in 2 weeks for 3 days. We have a rental car and are willing to drive to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Cottonwood, and Oak Creek. We saw train ride to Grand canyon from Williams is opposite direction and too far to take. Any suggestions for the 3 days that we will be there? Thank you. Willy
