We started from Jesus Pobre, where you really climb up the entire height, with perfect views. As an afternoon trek, it takes you some 50% of the total way up. Perfect

Climbed in October with intermittent cloud and 20 degrees C. Park for free at the shooting range, just off the road from Javea Old Town to Denia, then walk the hundred metres back to the car park entrance (NOT all the way to the road)...More

This long mountain range is often covered by a beautiful cloud cap. So much of this range looks like it is completely untouched with wide open caves covering much of the area but little if in evidence of being explored.

The Sleeping Elephant, Montgo is beautiful and peaceful. Seen from all vistas in Javea, it’s a beautiful range.

I did this walk with my husband and nephew ... we all enjoyed it so much! We brought along some snacks and sat at the top to eat them. An amazing day

Incredible views from the summit. Montgo’s trunk surfaces as Ibiza and the views up towards Denia, out to the Med and down to Cumbre are sights to behold. Good shoes, hats and water are essential. And maybe even a small bottle of vino to celebrate...More
