It will take you around 3 -4 hours to do this amazing tour with kids. Mine were 3 years old first time climbing, but you need to be in good shape to climb the last peace. You can also do it to watch the sunrise, just bring a torch and you will see and amazing sun rise.

So the only place my dad found to ascend Montgo was out near Jesus Pobre, which turned out to be the longer route. The ascent was long and difficult at times with a number of sharp rocks and loose footing meaning you had to keep an eye on your feet more than look at the view. We decided to climb... More

The mountain is full of rocks. About an hour of my ascend was inside the cloud and I could not see much but it was a fun exercise and glad that I climbed it :)

Not something you want to tackle in sandals and socks or during the summer. I've climbed it dozens of times now, always starting from Jávea. Tough zig-zag route but very doable for most. Only one tricky part, almost at the top but the views are worth it. Remember: Don't go during the summer (it's forbidden to climb during the night... More

The Montgo Natural Park has something for everyone. On La Plana from the lighthouse of San Antonio there are paths leading to the base of the Montgo mountain (crossing the road to Denia). The views are amazing from the top where you can see Ibiza on a clear day. There is also the cave to explore, the eye of the... More

Many, many different walks in this national park that covers a huge area including cliffs, shoreline, windmills, woodland and a mountain. Lots to do and plenty of nature to enjoy. Visitor centre in Denia a bit disappointing but sets out history and identifies what there is to see. There is more to this park than climbing the Montgo but that... More

Great views to Ibiza and up the coast to Valencia. We were lucky enough to see Eagles and wild boar. Plenty of good hiking trails and Montgo turns beautiful shades of red and pink as the sun sets.

This park is close to Javea or Denia and you can easily reach it by walk or by car, depending on the time what you would like to spend there. You will find enough space to be alone with yourself by walking through the many ways and you have a nice view from the east part to the Mediterranean Sea,... More

well worth a visit for the solitude and silence - looking out over the sea or looking out over the countryside makes you feel at peace with the world.
