My wife and I togheter with our children ages 3 and 6 spent the morning at this market. Good leatherworks, bric-à-brac and assorted foods. Bargaining is recommended. Police presence in the marketplace was noted. Several officers present at all times. Throughly recommend a visit.

Having visited the huge market in Torrevieja many times, we were not disappointed with the weekly market in Javea. Although not massive, it is mainly confined to the plaza del constitucion and is all good quality. There are numerous leather stalls, offering goods at reasonable...More

More or less a typical Spanish weekday market. This one spreads out from the main square where it's held on Thursdays to some of the little streets around it. You can pick up anything from fresh fruit and veg to leatherwear and clothes in general....More

It's always worth visiting a market and this had a bit of everything. Make sure you travel along all the main streets as some of the vendors are away from the main square. It's worth comparing prices too as two members of our party bought...More

Lovely market, with a lot of variety. Lots of leather goods. Beware and compare prices between stalls before starting any bargaining - we were stung for a leather hat that we later found was 25 euros cheaper at another stall. Also wander down the side...More

Some stall holders arrive the night before. The market is certainly open on Saturday between 9.00a.m. and 1.30 when I visited it, but the hours can be more flexible for individual stall holders. It is officially listed as... More
