We stopped while in town and, unlike a previous reviewer, the doors were locked. A member of staff was just coming in and let us in the back door and we wandered around a bit. Reminded me of a smaller version of a church in...More

The congregation of St. Peter's Episcopal church goes back to the 1760's but it was not officially founded until 1827. The current classic English-medieval Gothic style church designed by Charles McKim, who also designed the old NYC Penn Station and Columbia University, began construction in...More

An old Morristown Episcopal Church. Beautiful setting, with lovely music, and great preaching. Don't miss the graveyard that contains the remains of soldiers active during the Revolutionary War.

It is located not but a block from another Episcopol church...appears the congregation split many years ago. Latter is interesting too...low slung, across the street, in...More

St. Peter's is a large and really beautiful old church. It has a huge sanctuary and is host to several worship services as well as various classes and groups. It also occasionally hosts various public events, like a recent presentation by A.J. Jacobs.

St. Peter's Church is a throwback to an almost forgotten America of centuries ago. Although an active church with regular partitioners, St. Peter's is a visit to a time gone by. An absolutely grand church on an impossible scale today, you are moved just walking...More

We wandered the graveyard and were intrigued by the numerous graves from the 1700s. The site is well preserved with some signage to identify important people and families. A good place for a history lesson
