A lovely little bay/beach - hidden away from the main road. We stopped off here for a picnic prior to visiting Cardwell garden centre just down the road. Free car park and lovely clean flat path alongside the beach. The beach was lovely and clean and relatively quiet considering it was such lovely weather, however the carpark filled up quickly.... Clean beach with beautiful views across the water. Great walk along the coastline, all the way to Inverkip, takes about 45 mins to an hour if you make it last!

Found this bay by accident really as we were just going for a drive while on holiday. Very pleasantly surprised. Tucked away is a great little beach with a grassy area leading down to it. Free parking and toilets and an ice cream van. Nice little walk leading away from it. Great views ,wasn't too busy, so a nice little... More

Pleasant walks extend in either direction along the coast as well as handy for a jaunt across the road to the Cardwell garden centre which has a restaurant.

Spent a lovely week sunbathing at the Bay last week and the coastal walk to Inverkip was just great. It helps when you have toilets close by that are nothing short of immaculate, it makes such a difference. The only down side is the amount of dogs that are allowed on the grass picnic area. Yes the owners clean up... More

We come here regularly with our two young sons and it is a great place to come for a walk or even a picnic on a nice day. If you walk the full trail for around 20 mins it brings you out at the wee beach at the back of Inverkip marina. The only negative is the amount of dogs... More

Thank you for your comments regarding Lunderston Bay. Was it the site opposite Cardwell Bay Garden Centre you visited, as there are public toilets on site these were installed in 2014? Apologies if you visited outwith our staffing times (generally 10.00 - 17.30 hrs) and they were closed. The Park Attendants are aware of issues regarding dogs and do try... More
