Mount Rushmore and Black Hills Bus Tour with Live Commentary

316 reviews
In addition to Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills of South Dakota are home to the Crazy Horse Memorial and the beautiful landscapes of Custer State Park—sight many visitors miss if visiting on their own. Round-trip transportation, and included entrance fees make this guided tour a good option for visiting top Black Hills sights in just one day, all with the benefit of a guide to provide insight into local history and culture as you go.

We visited in Oct while in SD for our anniversary vacation. All the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. Loved they also had Covid protocols in place to keep everyone safe. Peanut gave our tour and she was a very good tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and specifics of the mine and the men who worked it. Walking all the way into the back of the mine was so fun! Also seeing the collection of the mining tools and equipment was super cool! I didn't know how much was needed to extract the gold! Totally amazing and such a fun time. Highly recommend to anyone. BTW, you can also see Mount Rushmore from here!

We participated in the mine tour as well as gold panning. Although smaller than we expected, there was some great history. Lots of fun!

My Husband and 14 year old son had a blast on their 1/2 day gold claim panning experience. They said the guides were very knowledgeable and fun! I thought 4 hours would have been too long, but they said it went by so quick! It was definitely the highlight of our trip for sure and they want to go back and do it again!! It does take work and you will get dirty so wear old clothes. It was so worth the gold they found (not much, but enough to make it fun!) Thanks again! An awesome memory for our son to pass down to his children and grandchildren.

We loved the tour and all the info. We were the crazy family asking all the questions. We panned for gold and maybe spent way too long (like over an hour) because it was so fun.
