We took this hike with a group of people. Very straightforward and relatively easy. Just a few small uphill areas. Took about 45 minutes to reach the ocean. Bathroom on the way and at parking. We had no trouble paring on a Saturday morning. We took a more level path going back. Beautiful area! Can't wait to go back! It... More

Great beach at the end of a 1.7 mile hike in on a wide, easy to walk trail. There are a couple of small hills to climb and the path can have ruts. There is a restroom facilty in the parking lot and along the way. These were disgusting and not well maintained. The beach was beautiful and worth the... More

OK, you're reading this, so you probably want in on the secret. For a shorter hike, head to Tennessee Cove/Tennessee Valley Beach. When you get there, the spot is in plain view. It's the cliff to the south (to the left as you approach the ocean) -- what a great workout. If you're able, go all the way to the... More

Favorite hike. About 1-1/4 hour to beach and back to parking lot. Lots of free parking. Bikes ok on trail. Horses, too. Popular with locals.

My partner and I went early (7:30) on Sunday to do the trail to the beach. It was fairly easy with a couple slopes and we say a few baby coyotes who hid. We loved this hike. We headed to the beach, ate, then headed back to the trailhead that was so crowded it took us quite a while to... More

Beautiful and easy trail for either walking or biking. The trail ends at a beautiful little beach with almost no one ever on it! Not much more you could ask for!

This is an easy hike to the beach and the scenery is beautiful. There are plenty of other trails that connect to this trial is you want to increase the intensity. It is very nice walk through the valley and down to a lovely beach.

easy, gentle hike to the beach. very often children and families on the trail. No dogs on the trail to the beach, but there are many uphill side trails where a dog can be taken. the trail leads to a lovely, protected cove. I have been there many times and always enjoy going.

This is a hike we usually take our out-of-town visitors on and it is always a hit. It is easy to do with small children and there are several trail options, so you can choose that one that works best for you and your group. This takes you to the beach and you can walk and explore there. You can... More

Into the hills, out to the ocean--easy hikes, tough hikes. Short hikes, long circuits. Views, exercise, wildlife. Want to get out of The City to explore wild California? Just five miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, take the Highway One exit to Stinson Beach, and turn right at the light just before the Dipsea Cafe. (You might want to... More
