Of all the antebellum mansions that my wife and I have visited over the years in Natchez, Mississippi, Monmouth is our favorite. We have met a couple of owners, slept in a couple of luxury suites, dined with other guests in the dining room and...More

This a beautiful setting. Tickets purchased in the gift store. Small groups taken on tour. Ivory was our guide and she was very informative and answered all questions asked. Steps involved at the place. Beautifully decorated. Could not see all the rooms because it is...More

We stayed in a vintage suite w/ a four poster bed dressed in antebellum furnishings. It was nice & a fun weekend. The grounds were fairly well kept but could have had less spider webs & bug nests on some of the outdoor seats/chairs. All...More

If you are not clad appropriately, you will be asked to leave. This is not a place to go if you want southern hospitality.

I liked my visit to the Monmouth historic inn, even as the price (15$) is probably too high. But it is a nice place to see. The tour was good

Don't go there. Shabby expensive place with awful quality restaurant. Our Thanksgiving experience was terrible. Dinner served cold, room full of humidity and needing maintenance. Just a big bluff. Won't comeback. This is not a luxurious hotel. More like a theatrical 2 stars hotel with...More
