I preferred this tour to the Longwood tour. The guide was unable to answer my question in identifying a smell that is present at the Rosalie Mansion, one that I believe defines the city, or perhaps this region of the country. I later found out,...More

this home is near the bluff overlooking the river. very pretty inside--it is a self guided tour so you don't get the information you do from an educated guide but still an interesting look into the past.

Beauty in the house and the grounds, within walking distance of the visitors center. Right on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi. Loved it

Rosalie is beautiful yet modest compared with other lavishly appointed mansions in the area. Definitely worth the time and fee to tour, as you'll hear some interesting history surrounding the Union occupation of the area.

We walked the grounds it was beautiful, could walk over to the bluff and see the Mississippi, the gardens were beautiful. They even have the bell off the USS Mississippi from WW1 which you can ring.

This home has more WOW than I expected. It's a bit over the top at some points--but that's why you visit these beautiful homes. It's well worth the price of admission to see it. Maintaining these homes is very expensive. The surrounding area is equally...More

Nice story behind the family that owned the home. Lots of pretty furniture and collectables. I have been to many of these types of homes and $20 a person is a little steep for this one.

Don't miss the chance to tour this exceptional 'Town Home!' The interior holds many fascinating surprises and heartwarming stories; and the view from the balcony compares to none.

A great antebellum home. The family really enjoyed the tour. The guide was great, and really enjoyed speaking on the history of the home. In fact, it didn't sound like history, but like it just happened yesterday in the way it was presented. The grounds...More

The drive from New Orleans might be about 2 hours and to Vicksburg is another 1 1/2-2 hours. Cotton will have been picked by then, sad to say. But you can buy cotton bowls easily.

No! There is a charge for admission and I think it is $13-$15 dollars per person. The money is used to help with the upkeep of the home. Well worth the price!
