Loved the hike. The scenery varies deeply across the 2+ hours. Huge boulders, caves, forest, lake, and wildlife. Do this one on a weekend so you don’t have to listen to the equipment in the quarry down the road while you walk the trails. Also...More

This property is beautiful. So much to see and keep you engaged. And the Bruce Trail that runs through their land is incredible. I would not recommend this portion of the trail for small kids, and certainly not for strollers, but what a hike.

The Bruce Trail is world class. Especially on the Bruce Peninsula, the scenery is fabulous. October might be a bit chilly at night for those who prefer to camp.More

Visit Tom and Dee to buy plants for your garden and art for your walls. Enjoy the hiking trail for even more fun. Wear your hiking boots and bring a bottle of water.

Yes! Boots and water, a good idea, there are 7 km of hiking trails on this 100 acre reserve. However if you forget your water we'll serve you a glass of Sunshine Tea. Thanks for your visit.

Our trail at Rural Rootz is available 24/7 as Rural Rocks Side Trail, part of the Bruce Trail. However our internal trail system is available during our "open" hours or by appointment. 7 unique forest trails totaling 7 km. Come and "Expose yourself to nature."
