The museum is not big, and it is a bit expensive (although everything in Greenland is expensive). However, there is a lot there, and some really interesting material about the history of Greenland. Worth spending an hour there.

Popped into the museum and were not disappointed. Interesting history of the settlement and the price of the ticket also gave you access to the art museum nearby. To be fair, everything is nearby in Ilulissat 😀 Friendly staff with a warm welcome

I just saw a part of this museum on the northern lights tour with WoG. Whilst it looked quite informative, I did not see any information in English so not for us....

The museum is situated in the house where the great explore Knud Rasmussen was born and offers a very interesting exhibition out him. The entrance fee is 60 DKR which is a bit too much in my opinion.

I took time to visit this museum while in Ilulissat. It was the home of Knud Rasmussen, a famous explorer. I found the outside of building beautiful - like a postcard. Inside there are three levels. The first has a little shop where you buy...More
