Great beach near the Wailea condos/hotels. Limited parking so get there early. Get's western sun, so if you are sensitive to the sun get a seat under the trees for shade. Showers and restrooms are on site. Great swimming beach in the morning...in the afternoon...More

This is a smaller quiet and less crowded beach. Good for small children. Waves relatively tame compared to others.

The snorkeling here is fantastic. The only problem is the people on the right side of the beach looking at the ocean, who get too close to the turtles and dive into schools of fish. On a calm day you can snorkel and see wonderful...More

Pretty beach. Public Parking, restroom & outdoor showers. Not known for surf so don't expect body boarding, surfing or boogie boarding. Some locals fish at west end rock jetty.

We were staying at the Residence Inn so quite a bit back from the beach and discovered Ulua by a happy accident really. We drove right down the coast, parked up in one of the carparks for beach users and walked all the way along...More

Parking is crowded so get there early. Beach gets crowded quickly also, but it's a calm spot for wading in the water and snorkeling, so it's worth it just go early. We got there around 9am and did get a parking space, but it was...More

This is a great beach for swimming and snorkeling. One end has a lot of shade in the morning. The waves are gentle. The snorkeling is wonderful. I snorkeled every day. I saw turtles on three days and manta rays two days! There is parking,...More

Ulua is just a great beach to snorkel and enjoy the Maui Beach experience. A very nice reef to the right and you can swim out quite a way following the reef and sealife. Like most South Maui beaches, your best snorkeling is before noon...More

I chose this beach over the much busier Makena beach, and we wound up spending four of our five beach visits here during our stay on Maui. We were fortunate to be able to utilize the hotel shuttle to get here, so we did not...More

Great beach to hang out and snorkel a little! Visibility isn’t amazing but we saw plenty of beautiful fish, reef and turtles! Careful with the waves as they tend to pull you into the rocks. We went around noon and there were plenty of parking...More

Yes, excellent here. The parking lot fills up early so it can be impossible to park at times. Usually good if you're there before 9 AM, after that, it's tough and can be problematic. This place has best snorkeling, go early... More

Didn't see any topless women there and don't know what the state laws are. Why not try it as you can always put a top on. Remember you only live once!
