Dull world, what was once amazing is no longer.
May 2021 • Couples
$200 for two people, absolute Robbery! Dreamworld is no longer the crown jewel of Australian theme parks. I’ve been coming to dreamworld ever since I was a young child and granted my last visit was over 10 years ago, but the park feels like a ghost town, Hardly any shops open and as per the website only one major ride was under maintenance (shockwave) however, the gold coaster and mick doohan wasn’t working all day. The giant drop only has one side working (that looked like a permanent option) with the missing tower of terror, eureka mountain mine and wipe out, just feels a little less thrilling to more mild and boring. Dreamworld is building a $32m roller coaster but given the parks current state of rides breaking down, the money might have Ben better spent “doing up” the place and adding more thrill rides then one single coaster.

Sadly this will be my last visit to dreamworld, it’s sad because it use to be the best Australia had to offer.

However, there was one lady in the fairy shop that happily let us use her deodorant (as we need to buy some but they were sold out)

Bad customer service and management discriminates against people of colour
Jul 2020 • Family
They don't treat people with color so well. I had a very bad experience and wrote to complain twice, never heard back. Wrote for the 3rd time on their website reviews, they responded to everyone else's complaint and concern, but not mine. They skipped mine and continued to answer ones after me.....Just proving my point. I will stick to movie world. They don't discriminate. This dreamworld park is dying anyway, it's just a matter of time. Most of their rides are closed, it's a ghost town. Don't waste your money. Check other reviews on their website and see for yourself.

Hi Sue, Thanks for taking the time to review our park. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was less than you had hoped for. Our team are concerned to hear the issues you've raised, especially as our park prioritise entertaining and giving exceptional service to every single one of our guests, irrespective of their background or creed. We'd love to follow up with you directly, however I haven't been able to find any correspondence matching your name, and unfortunately the visit date listed (July 2020) was during the time period our parks were closed temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We'd appreciate if you reached out to us via enquiries@dreamworld.com.au so we can engage further with your concerns and clarify details of your experience. I wish to reassure you as well that although our rides & attractions rotate through their annual maintenance period through the year like any themepark globally, we never have most of our rides down at once. The schedule of this maintenance activity is listed on our website so our guests can plan their day accordingly. We look forward to hearing from you soon to follow up your concerns. -Max from Dreamworld

RIPPED OFF BIGTIME.
May 2021 • Family
MOST of the attractions (maybe 70%) are NOT operating, yet you still get charged FULL PRICE ENTRY, just plain EXTORTION. This used to be one of the best places around, now, I will NEVER waste my hard earned money here again. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED. I bet you won’t offer me 70% of my money back? I had a family of 5 here, that’s just under $500.

BlkCal30t, thank you for your review. Totally understand your frustration to visit our Park and not seeing your favourite rides in action on that particular day. That's why we urge guests to check the Rides information via our website before their visit to avoid disappointment. Rides Safety Maintenance is Mandatory by Law. And it's the norm of Theme Parks to have it done during Off Peak Season, so that they can be ready for the next busy School Holidays etc. Our pricing is pretty much streamlined with other Theme Parks on the Gold Coast. Also available online are the Terms & Conditions regarding our ticketing. Taj

Terrible, Disappointing
May 2021
Very disappointing!!!!! Heaps of rides were closed and you pay exactly the same price. On top that they can't even afford to pay enough staff to run the ABC kids rides. We have to wait for so long it's because the staff has to operate 2 rides at a time and kids have to wait. Ridiculous!!!! I would understand if you don't have to pay bloody so much amount for a single entry pass. Hopeless. Better of closing the park rather than opening it. Managers must be dumb enough not knowing the situation.

Not what we paid for
May 2021
As recent reviewers have said this park was extremely disappointing. I am well aware rides need maintenance but we felt like we were walking around an abandoned theme park. Rides closed, food outlets, shops etc
With the excuse - we are getting ready for the busy season.
Tickets were the same price so we should get the same experience.
What they dont appreciate is some families look forward to this holiday for a long time, kids look at the rides and get excited about them, my daughter couldnt wait to get her photo taken with a Koala - Only doing it on Saturday or Sundays

Price your tickets accordingly - if your giving us half a theme park - then charge half price!!!

Heaps of rides closed, same entry price, disappointing.
May 2021 • Couples
Much as I used to love this park, it's certainly getting older and rides very unreliable. A week before going I checked the website for ride closures and the only planned work for the larger rides was shockwave. However after heading there on the day we found in addition gold coaster and buzzsaw closed under 'planned maintainence' which obviously it wasn't as it definitely wasn't listed on the website a week prior. Signs at the front saying these rides were closed didn't help when we'd already brought out tickets online and organized our transport there, and it was our only day to visit during our holiday. Made the $99 entry fee a bit of a rip off as only small rides were open, though those were enjoyable. Should be offering reduced fee when multiple large rides are broken down. It was cool seeing steel taipan being built but a new rollercoatser won't help if they can't keep the older ones running.

Hi LionessNebula, Thanks for taking the time to provide your candid feedback. While scheduled Annual Maintenance is an essential priority for our parks, we definitely understand that it can be disappointing when your favourite rides aren't operating during your visit. We endeavor always to give the best possible indicator of our upcoming maintenance schedules, however our team do need to be responsive and flexible to operational changes and requirements. Please rest assured that this isn't an indicator of a particular ride's reliability. Do know that your feedback is appreciated though, and we hope to welcome you back in future when the rides you love most are running. -Max from Dreamworld

Hardly any rides open , still had to pay the same price , definitely not worth the money . Wouldn’t recommend it . While the 4 rides we went on were ok , it’s just not enough to keep you here more than a couple of hours

Thank you for visiting our Parks and sharing your feedback with us. As it is the norm of Theme parks during Off Peak Season to have some of the rides and food outlets down for service, so it can be ready for the next busy School Holidays and our upcoming Winter Fest Event. Our staff rotates on different hours and duties of the day, so you don't see the full house all at once. Our tickets are in streamline with every other Theme Parks and sometimes we have promotional offers, where you need to be quick to snap it up! Taj.

Terrible - worst park experience in 40 years
Apr 2021
This was about the 5th time ive visited Dreamworld and the first time with my 2 year old daughter. 4 tickets costing around $380.
Majority of the adult rides closed, Majority of the children rides closed
restaurants, cafes and toy shops, closed.
Nearly all rides had a maintenance sign on them.
Minimal staff, only 1 person in a costume.

The park was like a ghost town, based on the full price tickets not being discounted due to the amount of the park that was not open, i will definitely not be returning in the future.
