You must do it. You won't be sorry. Drive up to the end of Tirinui Crescent and park. It's a 15 min walk to the top. Probably not the best walk for the elderly as track is a bit slippery and rough towards the top.

Beautiful views from this easy to reach lookout. A little bit of a climb from the street below, but well worth the effort once you are up there. A real photo opportunity. Views like this make me realise how lucky I am to be able...More

A bit of a trip but always a treat when you see the views. 360 degrees of amazing sights is the reward for all your efforts. Not to be missed when in Tairua.

I did the whole climb - it was definitely worth it. We had rain so the last bit was a bit slippery at times. Stunning view even in cloudy conditions!

What a breathtaking view across Pauanui, Tairua and the Coromandel. Nice walk up in less than 20 minutes.

Highly recommend this summit walk. A bit challenging, nothing to hectic, great views and good track to get there. Worth it!

A good walk from the parking area with a steep final climb but well worth it for the views. Best when tide is in and great views in all directions.

This was just a short drive from Tairua town and offered beautiful 360 degree views. Having come from Auckland, mount paku gave us a taster of what NZ was really all about! It only took us about 10minutes to walk up to the peak, though...More

Great views at the top with a 360 panorama of the beach and ocean below. The walk is short, but steep. It took us less than 10-mins to walk up from the car park.

Short, easy walk up to the summit from the carpark. I liked the signs with info about the area and the view from the summit was amazing. I found it as beautiful as Mount Maunganui, but it was a lot easier to get to the...More

From where? From Tairua town it's about 30 minutes walk to the top of the hill, an easy stroll! Tairua is about 2 hours drive from Auckland.
