A beautiful and remote beach with a memorial to William , a sailor. A special place - the grave was well kept and the beach was truly stunning.

Beautiful beach, that was much quieter than Hahei! Soft, clean sand, but be careful of the waves, which looked fierce and was probably why no one was swimming! The beach is a short step down from the car park, making the beach easily accessible. Nice...More

The Coromandel was so busy. Cathedral Cove had traffic jams on the path, Hot Water Beach was crazy, but Sailor's Grave beach was quiet, and beautiful. Safe inlet for children and nice waves for older children and adults. Crystal clear water, trees for shade. Just...More

Soft sand, clear sea, terrific rock pools, shade from pohutukawa trees, river outlet making a pool for little ones, easy parking - what more could you ask for?!

Lovely rocky river that the children loved to play also. Beautiful sand, quite beach, can walk to next beach by following track.
