It’s beautiful. Lots of sandflies but nothing replant won’t fix. Enjoy the walks on offer. Or Sit back and take in the scenery. Another pretty NZ Lake.

This is a really beautiful lake and well worth a visit. Just make sure you take your sandfly repellent because you will be eaten alive if you don’t.

A beautiful tranquil setting. Great lake side walls for people of all abilities. Don't forget to take bug spray as the sand flies attack within seconds.

Rotoroa lake was fun we went on a bright yellow 'duck' vehicle which was juvenile but great fun. The lake it lovely anyway you see it.

So if you can get past the abundant sand flys the lake is stunning, lovely if a bit cool swimming- look out for the eels, lots of good walks as well.
