I really enjoyed wine tasting here. Some excellent wines. The tasting size was quite generous, & I was even given a couple of extra tastings. Friendly informative service with no pressure to buy, but you will want to anyway.

Thanks so much for your posting and we are delighted that you had such a positive experience. We definitely have a wide variety of wines and are always looking to discover new wine varietals that may do well in Marlborough. Cheers.

Our recent cruise through New Zealand took us on a wine tour in this region. Our 1st stop was Forrest. We were greeted by the owner and taken on a tour of the facility. After a brief walking tour we were given several samples of...More

Thanks for the lovely review. Marlborough is certainly world renowned for Sauvignon Blanc - it is the Grape varietal that put us on the world Wine stage! Forrest is a little different in having 16 different Wine varietals (red and white) planted and has quite...More

Forrest was the first stop on our wine tour today and what a warm welcome we received from Jan and her colleague! A really lovely vineyard which is family owned (personally love that) and has a gray story to tell. We did the 7 wine...More

We had lunch here - shared salad platter of meat and cheese - very good value. Wine tasting - 7 tastings for $7 - again, very good value. Nice surroundings vineyard and gardens or eat inside. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This was an interesting winery. We started with an introduction from the owner of a mechanical picker and later saw a short film on how it works. I can see the value of the machine as the vineyards are very large and on flat land....More

Thanks for the comments and feedback. I hope you found other wines that suited your palate. The machine harvester is usually of great interest because of its amazing engineering but we do not use it for everything we harvest. I am glad the dogs were...More

Tasted some very good wines, especially The Doctors' Riesling. With the tastings was an excellent video showing mechanized grape harvesting using the harvester parked just outside. A shaded lawn with comfortable seating made this site an excellent respite for touring bicyclists.
