This is an amazing hike with some beautiful views. The hike itself is technically easy but in bad weather would be a challenge for some (lots of slippy rocks and stream/River crossings). Do not attempt this hike in bad weather or heavy rain, although we...More

I have now done this 3 times and I'd do it again. Ultimate experience for any keen kiwis or travellers exploring the area! Good for experienced trampers but a beginner can do this too with the right gear and a helpful tramping buddy. Great walk,...More

I cannot stress how many sandflies there are in this walk! Didn’t spoil my experience - the forest is magical and track challenging in a fun way. Hut is really well looked after, super comfortable and right next to the natural hot pool.

We did the Copland Track in March and it was an absolute great experience that I don't wanna miss. None of us is very sporty, so it took us 8 hours to get to the Hut instead of 7. It wasn't easy and absolute challenging...More

This was the overnight track we chose, mainly for the hot spring at the end. Took us 8 hours to get to the welcome flat and 7 back, the next day. + interesting and moderate walk, lots of scenery, well maintained and clean hut, hot...More

We attempted this track just after a day of heavy rainfall. The track was not closed but we could not find a place to cross the river (to get to the start of the track) without getting wet feet. So we took the flood detour......More
