When we lived closer to the capitol building, this was our favorite place to go to walk the dogs. On weekends, there are often a ton or couples getting their engagement or wedding photos professionally taken here. There is an off leash dog area and water that dogs can go in. You can walk either on pavement or on a... More

i go here often its a great place to relax and listen to the rivers run, this park is dog friendly and has plenty of memorial monuments to look at and learn about the wars in which these heroes served. on a lighter note the film halloween 4 was filmed here and the surrounding avenues of salt lake city.

Beautiful park with interesting war memorials in the lower part, a paved walking trail for about 3/4 of the park, and a dirt trail next to the stream that makes you feel like you are out in the canyon. The dirt trail is also an off leash dog area, so the dogs can run and play in the water in... More

Visiting Memory Grove will make you forget how close you are to downtown Salt Lake City. It is dog-friendly, kid-friendly and just a wonderful piece of nature so close to downtown.

This park is the entrance to a wonderful canyon mostly without cars. Joggers and cyclist have the upper City Creek Canyon to themselves on odd numbered days. Reservations for picnicking and hiking in the upper City Creek Canyon are on even numbered days. Hikers, joggers and birdwatchers are always welcome. There is limited fishing and a pleasant off leash dog... More

This is a small park that leads to a dead end. There are a lot of weird people either there looking for a date or buying/selling drugs. I didn't even feel comfortable to get out of the park, and I'm no weakling by any means. Not a place to take the kids. There are no play grounds either.

As title states, nice peaceful area for a walk. Just below the Capital and a couple blocks from Temple Square.

We go here every once in a while with our kids to get away and do something different. It is usually pretty peaceful and there aren't too many people in the park. In the past years there have been a few issues with homeless people but not recently. We love hanging out here.

We went here on a Friday night and went for a walk in this peaceful and beautiful Memory Grove Park. We were there the Friday after Memorial Day so it was also good to see the nice statues and commemorations for the military and those who had served our country. There is a pond and city creek area that is... More

Fun to read the information on the memorials, cool hike or walk up the road. Very pretty and worth some great photos. A cool place to visit and have a picnic.
