If you drive past the main bath house/beach area the road ends and you can drive on the beach until you find an empty section. Really convenient not having to lug chairs/coolers to the water.

Padre Island has lovely golden sand for you to enjoy. Its usually breezy so comfortable to sunbathe even when its very hot. A lovely place to chill out or have fun in the sun.

The beach on the Gulf of Mexico were nice and warm today! My Son didn’t want to leave because the beach was nice. The drive down the beach was wonderful, we saw Brown Pelicans diving about 30 meters from the shore.

Not too many people at the beach. Clean and good facility. Park ranger on duty and helicopter patrolling, very safe.

Such a fun time as a family watching the baby sea turtles get released. Beach is very clean and you can spend quite a bit of time here without hearing “I’m bored!”

Holiday Inn Express N. Padre Island and Home Suites are both just a short drive to the National Seashore and short walk to the beach.
