We went for the annual Canteen night party. There was a big band with dancing and other entertainment. Light snacks and a cash bar were available. The setting and staff were superb and the other attendees we met were interesting and friendly people.

This visit my husband and I took advantage of the February discounts for people who are members of one of five major attractions in CC (half off) and the gorgeous weather. While you are indoors most of the time, we went up to the deck and enjoyed the great view! I'm adding to an earlier review. We thoroughly enjoyed the... More

A lot of good history for young and old. Requires a lot of walking and stairs. Entire ship well preserved and kept clean

A must see and visit if you are in Corpus Christi. It is amazing to experience and see what it would be like on a ship. The tour is self-guided which is nice as you can move about at your own pace. There are 5 different tours. I love the history behind it and just to see it was truly... More

Great visit...it is so big..can't believe how many soldiers were on it for World War 2.... There are many retired soldiers that answer your questions and explain how the ship worked. There are different talks too to sit in on if you desire. The top of the ship are planes and helicopters that are awesome to see. It was so... More

Very interesting explanation how the planes take off and land. The retired Veterans that volunteer on the ship are very interesting and their stories really add to the experience. Take the time to talk to them. Watch the movie it also gives you a better perspective to life on the ship. Lots of old air planes to look at. Take... More
