The pier is great for fishing or sight seeing. The restaurant/bar is finally one that may have some longevity. It's a unique place when visiting North Padre Island. The cost in the bar is reasonable and worth the trip.

Hung out with family this weekend at the beach. It was nice to chill out under the bridge and in the water.

It was $2 per person plus $2 per fishing pole. If you don't already have a fishing license, it was $12 for a temp permit. They rented poles for about $22. There were restrooms, a restaurant, and snackbar. We didn't catch any fish, and I...More

Love going fishing here. We like the fact it seems a little more secure, has a pretty well stocked little store & fairly clean pier. Still need to try the attached restaurant.

It is old and needs to be cleaned up. Visited at night and saw roaches crawling around. Not what I expected.

Nice, newish restaurant/bar and fishing from the pier. Be careful of sharks in the water, the bait from fishermen attracts them. Lot of surfing happens here. Mostly locals come here - watch out for drunk beach bums, though. You cannot drive on the beach until...More

Bob Hall pier never disappoints. After visiting 2 other piers with no results we cast our lot at Bob Hall. We caught 2 hammerheads and 6 bonnet head sharks. The guys at the end of the pier pulled out a 6 ft. Black tip shark.

Right down the road is the National Seashore and it is only $20 a year for membership. Complete with showers and RV hookups, not sure if they charge but look them up. That would be the best place to camp.
Pet friendly?

I do remember seeing dogs on leashes there, walking on the pier (or at least going in that direction). I would check signage to make sure if they need to stay on a leash (playing water Frisbee or running along owner) & for... More
