Took a quick trip to do some birding of shorebirds here. I was surprised at the number of birds and diversity at this spot along the highway. Pretty views of the bayfront of Corpus Christi across the bay, too.

This pier is free. There is a beach next to it for wading etc. It is clean but all the lights did not work at night. Easy to get to as you are just off the tall bridge leaving Corpus.

I live in Portland and visit this park daily by bicycle. It's a great morning ride out to Indian Point where you will find a lighted fishing pier (free), birding galore and great views. Great for wade fishing also. My daily ride from Portland to Indian Point takes me through Sunset Lake Park, a wildlife sanctuary. Do bicycle rides get... More

This is a great place to come and sit with your camera or binoculars! Also a great short hike. Unfortunately some clean up in the area needs to happen. Lots of trash along the water line and elsewhere.

The pier is great for fishing and amazing views of Corpus Christi. Many people go out there for walks or to work out, too. I was impressed by the amount of wild live, especially birds of various species that could easily be seen. They were not scared of humans, it felt as if they were pausing for photographs.

Indian park is located between Portland & Corpus , it is a great location for fisherman to fish at the pier and kids enjoy access to the water as current is not to wavy.

I read all the TA reviews, but I had to see for myself. The only thing there is a GREAT fishing pier. The bathrooms are port-a-pottys, but the pier is long and big. This place has great potential if someone would invest some time and money to put in a bait stand and sell snacks and beer. The building is... More

Grew up fishing with my dad at this pier. Pier has been rebuild various times due to hurricane destructions. Great place to try your luck at fishing. Fishing is exceptional in winter months when bull reds come in to spawn. Several other species of good eating fish frequent the waters of the pier. A good spot to view the many... More

This is a great pier to fish on if you bring chairs, drinks, bait, and gear. We have caught shark, reds, trout, drum, and perch. Bathroom facilities are not always clean but at least they are there.

I was very disappointed in its appearance. Several years, this was my first fishing experience and especially catching a 37" Golden Drum. We began to make it a habit of going at least twice a month and got to know Mike who was the keeper of the place. Then he got transferred because of his military position ad left and... More
