Malaquite Beach is a great place to take your family to visit the Padre Island Natonal Seashore area without driving on the beach. They have everything you need while visiting. Shops, educational information, restrooms and showers. The beach is maintained well and you do not have to worry about vehicles driving on the beach while you and your family are... More

This is a no vehicle beach in the National Park ($10) and you have to walk in from the parking lot. I prefer the Padre/Mustang Island year long beach pass $12, and I have access to all the other beaches on both islands, plus I can drive to a secluded area, use washrooms and have immediate access to garbage and... This place was serene. It's something about hearing the waves of the water. It takes you to such a peaceful place. You'll definitely enjoy it as much as we did.

We just love this beach for walking our dog along the shoreline and also to come and spend the day at the beach. It has an area to shower, restrooms and an educational on marine life as well as clean beaches. Just love it here!!

I loved my trip to Malaquite Beach on the Padre Island National Seashore. There is a welcome center with shower and changing facilities. The beach is easy to access and there is an area where you can camp on the beach. The next time I go I will take advantage of the camping area. When you get a chance to... More

We recently drove down to visit this area on the Padre Island National Seashore. We were a little disappointed. There was road construction and we were forced to sit and wait almost 20 min. to proceed down to this beach. This time of year, nothing was available to eat or drink except a beverage machine and a snack machine. This... More

You can drive right out to the waves if you want. Weekends seem a little more crowded. Many people with picnics, dogs and kids. Good for families.
