My husband and I signed up for the Nibble Nob Hill tour as an introduction to our 4 month stay in Albuquerque. There were supposed to be 2 other couples, but each one had a last minute emergency, so we had our guide, Nick, to ourselves for the 2 1/2 hour tour. We could not have had more fun! Nick was full of information about Nob Hill, Albuquerque and New Mexico in general, and answered all of our questions, large and small. He was fun and funny and took us on a tour of fantastic restaurants, each one different from the last and delicious! We plan to return to all of the restaurants! This tour would be perfect for everyone- locals, tourists or anyone wanting a real foodie experience!

Our guide Nick was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Old town. He was fun and made the tour exciting!

Very disappointed with a no show tour guide! Waited at appointed time & place for over 40 minutes! Called twice & left message! Finally got a call back over 2 hours later! I knew about the minimum and when I rec'd no text or email thought we were good to go! I would think twice before I book this tour!

Thank you very much for your review, we are very small business and appreciate any and all feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your frustration. We reached out several times via email with no response. Often times our emails get tossed or caught up by spam filters, I hope in time that you found them. We also tried give you a call several times and we're unable to get through. All in all we are just as disappointed as you are and hope to have better communication. We enjoy taking every guest on our tours and hate to hear of a bad experience. We hope to see you again so that you may experience why we are such a highly rated tour company, full of local guides that love to show off our city.

We just finished a food tour of Albuquerque with our guide, joe. It was great! We started at the Hotel Albuquerque which is a cool venue, and has tastings at guardunos inside the hotel. And not just tasting, LOTS of great food, Posole, sopapillas, mini margaritas. It was delicious. From there we had nice walks with some info about old town and 3 or 4 other stops. green Chile stew, red chili steak bites, some beer, tea, and a Nice dessert (natillas?). Everything was wonderful and so was joe, fun and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.

At first glance you may think it's a bit expensive for a food tour; $75 plus taxes etc. but it was so, so good. Our guide was Carlos. He was fantastic; friendly, knowledgeable about the area and food and good company. We were a pary of four so it was a personable experience. We started out with posole, sopapillas and cucumber margaritas at Gardunos. Our next stop was Seasons for American kobe beef green chile slider with waffle fries and an elephant on parade beer. (grapefruit wheat beer) It was delish!! Next stop was the High noon resaturant and bar for mini margaritas, steak bits, pork carnits and carne esada tacos and a brie empanada that was served with a green chile chutney, roasted garlic and raspberry coulis. That could be a meal in itself. We then stopped at the Old Barrel Tea Co. to sample a few teas then on to our last stop Church Street Cafe for flan. We were stuffed to the brim after all this food! It was all so very good and a real variety of things to try.So run don't walk to Food Tour New Mexico!!! (Christa)

My husband and I were given Old Town Albuquerque gift certificates, bought on-line -- what a fabulous and memorable treat that we would never have bought for ourselves!
Carlos & Nick were very accommodating in arranging our tour time to meet the minimum of 4 people -- they worked with us and another couple who had wanted a different day and came up with a time that worked for all!! And since then, the other couple visited us where they were still staying in ABQ, and we plan to visit them when we're in California!
Carlos was our guide -- personable, knowledgeable about food from both his family background and his culinary education, and happy to share stories from his experience as a chef.
We had not been to any of the restaurants Carlos took us to, and enjoyed every one of them. Especially the Church St Café, which we had seen many times but thought was only a little café, not knowing several rooms including the oldest house in ABQ was behind it. And the High Noon, a wonderful atmospheric original building. Both were full of locals and had great food.
Whether for yourself or as a gift, I couldn't recommend the Old Town ABQ tour more highly. And because of the great success of our birthday gifts, we're really hoping our daughters give us vouchers for the SantaFe or NobHill tour for Christmas!

This was our seventh food tour and it was the most expensive. With that expense we expected more than restaurant discussions. The tour guy knew lots about food and the four restaurants we visited, however, he knew very little Albuquerque history and was unable to remember names or answer some of our questions. No water was provided either, unlike all the other tours. $85 for four restaurants (good restaurants) was excessive for tastings without much more. We love food tours not just for the food but for the history of the city or state. Although the guide was pleasant, the tour was disappointing.

Disappointing. At least they could have offered something for our disappointment. We learned it was cancelled too late to arrange a substitute activity.

It was a girlfriend week so this was fun.Joe explained the difference between the chilies. Told how his family would serve the dishes for the holidays. What was fantastic is we would not have known these restaurants were so good if he had not taken us there. The cucumber margarita was delicious. Thanks for being a highlight of our trip.
