It was pretty cold when we went in December 2016 and it's mostly outdoors (except maybe the koala house). Maybe because of that - it was nearly empty. Closest we have ever been to Gorilla, Polar Bear, Lion, Mountain lion, Puma. It was a great experience. They also have a deal you can bundle the zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden.... More

It was a great plan. Had not been here but heard great stories from family and friends. I loved it not at all how I had saw it in my mind but better. A lot longer the I planned to spend but was worth it the exhibits are really nice. I will be bringing my grandaughter once she is old... More

Nice easy paths, wonderful exhibits, my kids loved the polar bear and orangutang exhibits! And the giraffe and hippo exhibits are just amazing! Absolutely a wonderful place to take the family!

We did not have long here but the zoo is very compact and easy to get around. We saw lots of animals. There is a small train ridd for which you have to pay an extra fee. The admission fee was very reasonable. Parking was easy right outside the door and we were given a map so we could navigate... More

You need to go and visit the Zoo. It is perfect for adults and children. I visit the zoo every 12 to 15 months. I especially like the Polar Bear exhibit. It is a great place to visit regularly.

Great zoo, parts are dated, but its been well maintained. Elephant, Hippo exhibits are the best I have seen. This is the best time of year to go. Today was allmost like having the place to ourselves. Very excited for penguin exhibit.

My husband and I went when they offered a free day for military members. It was very nice of them to do so, but they went above and beyond by giving us a shout out, free train tickets, and tickets for the bio park and aquarium. They are very clean exhibits and lots of little things to do. Loved that... More

Most definitely one of the best zoos in the U.S. Plan when you arrive to watch the feeding of the sea lions. Simple but fun. The train is also quite pleasant and can be a little romantic, too. It's a great place to explore and learn or just simply get away from it all. So proud to have this here... More

I did not see that many animals out, I guess it was because it was too cold for them. I did see some cool flamingos, ducks, and 3 hippos though.
