The Duck Pond is a green space and body of water built in the middle of the main campus. It is a nice place with lots of trees and body of water, which is an odd feature on campus since New Mexico is a desert...More

After the museum, took a walk around the campus. The campus green is well used and the duck pond a beautiful place to rest, play or study.

If you are a student or visiting campus go and check it out. Maybe even sit and relax. It is a cool college campus feature but I wouldn't drive there just to see it.

I've visited the duck pond as an alumni & pictures for several weddings. This is a small & quaint place....that can be a bit of a disappointment for travelers that come from non-arid wetter climates.

The Duck Pond is a delightful little spot that is perfect for a picnic lunch or a family stroll. The pond has a hill next to it and great shade trees. The UNM campus is a delight.

If you're out and about for a walk around campus, be sure and stop by to feed the ducks! There are always students about, walking, studying and enjoying life.

The UNM campus is one of the prettiest I have ever been on. Go check out this peaceful, happy duck pond. And then wander a couple of buildings down to find... The Center of the Universe.

I remember back in the 80s they dredged this pond and pulled out a foot of muck. That was when Berthold was here. Ducks are friendly too.

we really enjoyed taking our boats to run in this pond. We build models and this pond is a great place to get the kids to participate in the fun of models and to feed the ducks. The area is on the campus of UNM...More

Maybe a 7 minute walk. It's across campus. But it's not a huge campus.
