Great local aquarium

Very nice aquarium and a surprise find in ABQ. We enjoyed learning about the river habitats and the bosque surrounding the aquarium.

Such a wonderful variety of colorful native and exotic fish. I love the stingray pool. Also sharks and barracuda behind a full wall of glass. And the glass tunnel to walk through where you see fish on both sides as well as overhead. The docents are helpful and if your timing is right they will introduce you to the touching... More

The Albuquerque BioPark Aquarium is one of the smaller aquariams we've visited, but it was very well organized and presented. There were many varieties of water life with good lighting to clearly see them, both from above and below. We visited in January when the crowds were small, so I suspect that during the summer the facility would be a... More

I only have great things to say about this place. You can spend a couple of hours at the Aquarium and the Biopark. The Bugarium was also included in our visit. There is also a model train park with two model trains running. Also has luminescent light statues of dinosaurs, a pirate ship, various fish, etc. (visited during the day... More

I suppose this aquarium might be a big deal for a small city but if you're looking for something spectacular, this isn't it. The exhibits were nice and the fish interesting and colorful, but there weren't many of them and a walk through only took about 20 minutes max. The combo ticket DOES allow admission to the botanical garden too... More

I like to visit here every time I to go Albuquerque. The grandchildren especially enjoy it! I am amazed that a city of this size has such a nice aquarium. The gift shop is nice, and the man checking me out was quite helpful this time. They had some 1/2 off gifts already wrapped for Christmas!

Very, very small...more of a pet shop feel instead of an aquarium. The few exhibits that were there were good but I was left with the feeling of "is this it?" If you are local a good place to bring the kids but as a tourist I would pass.

I had heard about this attraction from friends. Entrance fee is inexpensive and worth it. Aquarium is nice and we saw a lot of animals. The bug area was great as well. The toy trains they have set up will bring out the kid in you. They are decorating with lights for the Christmas season and I bet it's gonna... More
