About
America's largest interactive murder mystery comedy dinner show! Solve a hilarious murder case while you feast on a fantastic four-course plated dinner. Just beware! The killer is hiding somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect! Our show is very different from traditional murder mystery dinner shows. We will hide non-costumed actors in the audience that are pretending to be part of the crowd. This results in a much more social and interactive evening than with other shows. Our shows are set during the present day and take place in real time. Over the course of the night, our costumed Detectives will uncover clues, interrogate audience members that may or may not be part of the show, and help everyone get closer to solving the mystery.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Show was great!! All the actors were so entertaining and they involved the audience which made it so much fun.. The only thing I would complain about was the food it was good but not enough.. Very small portion we were still hungry and had to stop on the way home to get something to eat which was disappointing since we paid so much for the dinner..

First time we've been to a large mystery dinner (have done them at home and murder mystery weekends). It was a fun evening filled with laughter and mystery solving. Food was okay - liked the fish better than the chicken (set menu with choice of main entree). Going with some friends made it that much more enjoyable.

I do not recommend that anyone purchase their tickets through Groupon. The Dinner Detective is using a shady practice of adding on an additional fee for Groupon vouchers of $15 per person that you are required to pay for at the time of reservation, which ends up making the tickets more expensive that if you had just purchased tickets directly at their site. I haven't yet seen the show and I am already disappointed in their company.

Hello! We must charge separately for tax & waitstaff gratuity due to Groupon's terms & conditions, much the same as with a restaurant or bar Groupon deal. Also, our Groupon vouchers include a commemorative shot glass only available with this deal, so there is a significant discount in place. Thanks so much!

I got tickets for the show through groupon. NEVER get ticket through groupon...it was a huge hassle. I called the number to redeem my tickets and it referred me to online. It was automated system through the Dinner Detective. It took me three days to talk to a real person. I also called the Hotel Andaluz where this event takes place on a weekly basis, well they were no help either, they said "we don't have anything to do with them, call directly." The redemption process is tricky and not user friendly. First you have to find the tiny print on the Website under gift certificates where then it says redeem. Then I made a small mistake where it says that you have to call the company in order to make changes (hence the three days). I also received an e-mail that said "it looks like you are having trouble completing your order, please call" - the same number. When I called and told them that I need to change the reservation, he wanted to know if I had been to the website and if there were any directions in the e-mail...Yes, the directions were to call "YOU." Well after he gave my information to the director, the director did e-mail me back promptly, but requested that I pay tax and gratuity online before my reservation could be complete! I understand that tx and gratuity are separate from my coupon, but I have never heard of paying gratuity for a service that I have not even received yet! I did pay it, got a confirmation on my payment, but never a confirmation that I was set for the specific date of my reservation (you have to reserve ahead of time a specific date). When we got to the venue, they did not have our reservations (which made me mad because I spent a total of a week trying to sort things out) luckily I had all my other confirmations and the e-mail conversations with the director.

Here is where I wish I could rate the reservations separate from the event as here are where the stars come in. Liz and Bob our hosts were kind, funny and gracious. They got us in without a problem or questions. They had immaculate customer service and great people skills. The actors were hilarious..especially the two detectives. Very animated and great ad libbing. The service was excellent.
The hosts will explain some things before you enter the banquet hall. When you check in, you will have to make up a character name for yourself. Then all become suspect and shady in the murder mystery. You get to interrogate and interact with other people. It makes it more fun to get out of your comfort zone when you are "someone else."

There are appetizers served and a cash bar (with a selection of three drinks only) once you are inside. You can also start your alcohol consumption early at the hotel bar if you wish. The food wasn't that great. You have to pre-order your meal at the time of reservation. You only get three choices for your entree and the food was unflavorful conference food.

The story is well written and the actors are good. Each table gets a set of clues to read and follow. Each person gets their own interrogation paper to write notes about other people in the room. My problem is that there was not enough room on the paper to write down all my notes and I frankly don't think there was enough time to eat and solve the mystery. I felt rushed to eat and I felt rushed to try and interrogate people, write down information, read the clues and try and solve the mystery. As a matter of fact, when I went to get another drink from the bar, I came back and they had taken my plate which I was not finished with yet!

At the end, after prepaying gratuity, I still ended up tipping the bartenders separately, there was an envelope on our table and we were told that the actors needed to be tipped because that is how they get paid. If the actors were also some of the servers, and I had to tip them separately, then who got the gratuity that I prepaid for? Be prepared to bring cash to tip the actors and the bar tenders separately from what you already prepaid, and make sure your reservations have definitely gone through. You can stay the night in the hotel if you are from out of town or plan on becoming intoxicated. Get into character, lie if you want, read the clues carefully. and try to enjoy the show.

The main characters were great. The plot was a little contrived and hard to follow. The chicken was good but the cake was not. No coffee after dinner. Disappointing.

THE LANDING is a brand new bar-restaurant near I-25 and the ABQ Sunport, serving a wide variety of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and salads, plus a really big selection of domestic and local beers, craft cocktails and spirits. My wife and I dropped in for lunch, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger with Side Salad, my wife ordered the Open-Faced Tortilla Burger, and we shared some spicy Chicken Wings. Everything was incredible! My ½-pound burger was perfectly grilled, with green chile, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. My French Fries were absolutely incredible… covered with savory spices, very crispy on the outside, yet deliciously soft on the inside – Double Wow! My wife’s smothered tortilla, also a ½-pound burger, was stuffed with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and green chile – she said the green chile was especially amazing. We ordered the Chicken Wings with “Traditional hot sauce”, and it was just perfect. This was a fantastic experience, and we plan to come back – even thinking about having some office parties here. Atmosphere is sleek and modern, prices reasonable for such high-quality food, and service was outstanding! Our server Rick was constantly attentive, with good suggestions, and super friendly service. Very highly recommended.

Great show. The actors did a great job. The only reason not a 5 is because the dessert was only chocolate which I don't like.
