It is a pretty lake but not in the fall. For some reason they drain it - I heard to clean it but it doesn't need to stay drained all winter. It was sort of sad - but I believe that when it is full that it is very pretty.

Great photo opportunities!! Mountain background is GORGEOUS. We ended up stopping here on the way from Allenspark to Estes Park to visit RMNP. While we didn't boat, we did stop for some spectacular views and photos. This would be such a great place for a picnic or a summer boat ride!! Beautifully peaceful.

We were pleasantly surprised that there were so many things to do and the rentals that were available. The walking path is beautiful and we reallly enjoyed it.

Were able to get our non-resident fishing licenses here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice place for fishing; unfortunately we didn't catch anything. But it was fun.

Just under 4 miles, this is a fantastic family ride. Scenic with several small parks and water front stops, this is a great afternoon adventure. You can rent bikes at the Marina or across the street. During, the fall months you can also check out the elk that gather at the golf course an hour before dusk.

A good photo opportunity with the stunning mountain background, you can also take a walk, sit down on the benches or play with your kids on the swings.

I did not rent any equipment but did visit the store. The store offers rentals and some food and drink items. it's also a great place to see some elk!

We decided to rent a hilarious pedal cart for a bit. It wasn't nearly as fun as it was funny, but worth it. We only had it for 1/2 hour and it was slow, awkward, and loud...but we did giggle the entire time!
