Small by most standards, but really nice. Very interesting and the staff was great. Had info on the Stanley steamer car, and one on display.

Informative about Local Area and Rocky Mountain National Park: Lots of information available about the park, best places to see wildlife, the Estes Park area, history, etc. Worth spending 30-60 minutes. Free admission. Free parking. Convenient location.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and spent better than an hour. It is a smallish but very well presented museum of the history of Estes Park, which includes everything from the hotel used in "The Shining," to gold mining, to Invention of the Stanley Steamer. There is a beautifully restored SS in the museum.

Stopped by here for the first time. They have a museum shop with lots of local history books that looked interesting, reasonable prices and fun games. The museum has some good exhibits giving thorough info on the area and people. Worth stopping in!

Definitely worth a stop. We found it by accident on a rainy day. Small but has nice overview of Estes Park and area history. Fair selection of local knowledge/history books. Free.
