Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice small park with interesting memorials. The lovely, historical buildings surrounding the northern side are worth taking pictures and investigating their past. I enjoyed this short walk in the park.

Beautiful scenic memorial park dedicated to the fallen soldiers from the area. Looking through the names we found a soldier with our last name. It is dotted with benches and trees to sit and enjoy the history surround you. It is located next to Hemenways Restaurant in the middle of Providence along side the river.

On the Providence river. Without kids, it feels quiet. The obelisk base has a few quotations; the black status is in tribute to Rhode Island Korean War veterans, even Korean War barely register with the general populace. Many benches for resting.

The center piece of the park is an obelisk topped by a statue. The base includes various quotations to the fallen, including one by Woodrow Wilson memorializing those lost in world war I. Interestingly, Providence has several moments to the "Great War."

I’m an advocate for the remembrance of military sacrifices and I think this park serves justice for that purpose. It’s noticeable that the Vietnam War is not included. I always like the way World War 2 is mostly symbolized with the timeline and major events. Conversely to The Wall, it makes everyone feel included. My father had friends killed in Vietnam and I feel very included when I visit. What about those sacrifices where soldiers didn’t die and have their name on The Wall? In this case, here in Providence, I was happy to see the Pacific Theater in remembrance of my maternal grandfather’s sacrifices. This park is a nice place to visit and contemplate everything that our military service members do for us on a daily basis. We should thank our service members in uniform, for their service.

Very sad to see the homeless gathering en masse, but I've seen much worse and despair of things getting better.
