We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My hotel was near City Hall. In the morning I would go for a walk and walk right past City Hall. The steps were full of garbage!! Everything from food containers to alcohol to drug paraphernalia. I was disgusted and wondered how I would feel if I walked at night. It is upsetting to see the town allows people to loiter, sleep and trash City Hall.

We decided to come to Providence RI from the UK to get married and so glad we did the building is stunning!
It’s also a little known secret that anyone can book one of the chambers in city hall which is foc during the week and a nominal cost on Saturday (sorry we got married Friday so I don’t remember the Saturday cost), we had the Alderman Chambers for 2 hours and it was stunning, all the lovely staff working in the building gave us congrats whilst we had our pictures taken on the stairs etc. If you’re thinking of using this place for a wedding venue or just want to go and view the building we recommend it.

I just love viewing this building at night. The lights are fabulous and the building is very majestic up on the hill. Bring your camera!

Our first state capital tour. Found it very interesting. Our guide was a bit tight and repeated things two and three times, very annoying. But for a free hour, well worth it.

It's always good to visit a City Hall, besides it appears a bit small from the outside it is quite big from in side of the hall.

The city hall in providence is quite big and beautiful. We went on a rainy day and no one around but the silence added beauty to this impressive building with huge lawns beautifully maintained.

We went there during the day and then again at night. The lighting is very cool at night. You can walk around, but there is nothing special.

The city hall dominates Kennedy Plaza and speaks to an age when the city was larger and more financially secure. Its size and style announces the city had come of age.

It's a nice building. It's old and could probably be renovated on the inside. Parking is impossible so try to find a garage somewhere nearby and walk. I had to go here to get my name changed. The staff was helpful and it was easy to navigate in the building. Not bad considering you're probably going here for something court related.

I ended up spending more time at City Hall than I did at the State House! The staircase alone is worth the price of admission to this building (which is free by the way). If you're walking around downtown Providence, take the time to view the beautiful interior of this grand old building.
