It is a good stop off paired with a trip to FDR's summer home, Campobello across the border in New Brunswick. One caution is that the drive to get to the lighthouse is deceptively longer than what is advertised. For one who has driven out of the way to touch the four corners of US states and the confluence of... More

The easternmost point in the continental U.S. Beautiful lighthouse with gorgeous views of the ocean. Relatively easy and pretty walk around the grounds. Worth a visit!

Initially thought I would have too difficult of a time making the hike - the ladder system is pretty sketchy! But I did not want to be the only one left behind so I tagged along and was I ever glad I did ~ great view from the light house and a very invigorating walk. Watch the tides - you... More

Most easterly point in the U.S.A. - the Quoddy Head Lighthouse. This lighthouse is a bit out of the way as it is in a state park on the shoreline about a 10-minute drive off the scenic byway. Once you arrive there is a sign and a box where you must pay admission of $4.00 per person. I personally thought... More

We really enjoyed our visit here, This is a beautiful lighthouse with adjacent buildings, with a nice gift shop. Just a few miles from Lubec, the coast is really rocky and the surf pounding in splashes way up on the rocks. The significance of this place may not be of importance to some, but as someone who has traveled throughout... More

Walking access completely around the lighthouse, tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the lighthouse and this part of Maine. Take as much time as you want when touring the lighthouse. All of the rooms have plenty to see.

Although this lighthouse is off the beaten path, it is well worth the drive. Beautiful structure in a lovely setting with helpful and friendly volunteers. We were fortunate to find the visitors center still open for our mid-October visit. It closed for the season the following day. While in the area cross the border into New Brunswick to visit East... This is the Easternmost spot in the US. We were there on a sunny day and the photo opportunities were multiple! With binoculars you could watch the fishermen setting their lobster traps!

Visited on a wet foggy day. Gave a great atmosphere to the place as you could hear the fog horn and the waves were crashing on the rocks. Great photo opportunity. Recommended.
