Gorgeous place to wander for several hours, enjoying plants of Arizona. From cactus to riparian, the garden showcases a huge variety of plants. Great spot for birders, too.

We loved Tohono Chul. There was a tour starting right when we arrived and our guide, Maya, was excellent. She talked about the history, ecology and tidbits about the area. After an hour we walked around on our own then took a break for lunch before taking another trail within the Gardens. Docents are often wandering by to answer any... More

Not only does this botanical garden have a wonderful restaurant, but it is laid out beautifully--enjoyed the various path choices and the permanent exhibits.

I am very excited about the new manager at the restaurant. They have changed their menu that is so good. I had the Salmon & Beet Salad & my friend had chicken salad sandwich with Tortilla Chicken Soup (soup is sooooo good). Please try this restaurant and enjoy Tohono Chul's property.

We love Tohono Chul. The walkways are beautifully landscaped with indigenous species of plants labeled for newcomers. Cactus gardens abound as well, filled with incredible outdoor sculptures. Both seating in the restaurant or outdoors is gracious and pleasing. The food is excellent with special iced teas made with hibiscus and prickly pear cactus. We never tire of just strolling through... More

It is always amazing to find such a lovely park in the desert. The people were nice, the docents were informative and the gift shop contained a lot of good gifts.

A perfect place to bring visitors. A pleasant and reasonable restaurant with good food, and then take a stroll through the gardens. A plant shop is attached, where we always find a new treasure. We also went one December when the paths are lighted and hot chocolate available at the end. Highly recommend.

Lots of different types of cacti but not much information on the reasons for the different varieties. We spent a relaxing pleasant one hour wandering around. Some interesting sculptures but nothing too exciting.
