A step back in time. This museum is devoted to doll houses and miniature paintings. Exhibits cover 3 centuries of doll houses and their evolution. The craftsmanship is exceptional, the displays are superb. Each tiny piece of furniture is hand crafted, the utensils perfect scale renditions. The paintings on the doll house walls are perfect, the wall coverings are period... More

Thanks for the great review! While we do have many miniature paintings in our permanent collection, the current exhibit, The Art & Science of Portrait Miniatures, is only here through April 16, 2017. Be sure to enjoy it while it's here. More

Here is yet another hidden gem in Tucson! This is a well planned and unique exhibit. My son has a collection of miniature things and absolutely loved the museum. While the size of the collection is extremely impressive, admittedly it all started to the look the same after awhile. Even my son got his fill of tiny things before we... More

Hello, and thank you for the review. We are so glad that you enjoyed the museum! We do try to present the various forms of miniatures in our temporary exhibits. In the past we have done exhibits on model cars, trains, theater sets, wargaming figures and more. This summer we will be presenting Bob Murphy's Railroad Town (a hand-crafted G-Scale... More

We went here after needing to change our plans due to rain. What a great experience! The miniatures were amazing. I was blown away by the amazing detail. There was a special exhibit about portrait miniatures and the science behind it which was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and super enjoyable. I would recommend planning a minimum of... Mini Time Machine is great! I've never gone with a child, but the ones I've seen have always seemed to be enjoying themselves. I personally love peeking into these tiny worlds and letting my imagination run wild. The gift shop is nicely diverse both in cost and items available.

If you are interested in the art of crafting miniature houses, this is well worth a visit. These are NOT doll houses. Rather, this museum is dedicated to the artistry in making miniature replicas of rooms and houses. Some of these are absolutely amazing. I had thought I would look at a few tiny models and walk away. I was... More

This is great for adults as well as children. Several rooms of miniature displays to enjoy. Our granddaughter is visiting soon and we are planning another trip to share with her.

My daughter, grandson and I went to this museum not exactly sure what to expect. What an amazing discovery! It was so full of so many things that we were constantly saying to each other "Look at this". It was indeed a very special treat on a hot day!

A great visit because I have never seen anything like it before. Really enjoyed the architecture and interiors of the "rooms" Just seeing how things can be made so small with such detail is amazing.

We loved the Christmas exhibit. We loved this museum! We weren't really sure what to expect, and this place is really great! They make it really fun for kids, too, with a little fairy scavenger hunt, where they have mini fairies hidden all over & you have to try to find them all.
