Silverbell Golf Course is a championship par-70 layout located high upon the west bank of the Santa Cruz River. The course features wide undulating fairways that meander among stands of mature pine trees, strategically placed bunkers, and two large lakes that come in to play on five holes. Recently redesigned in 2005, Silverbell challenges golfers of all abilities. The complex also includes a driving range and practice facility.

Improving conditions with OB Sports

The course is in much better condition with OB than any time in the past 5-6 years with the city in charge. I hope they can continue to make improvements. The bunkers need lots of... read more

I was expecting a low-quality experience for being a city course, but the conditions were not too bad at all. The fairways and greens were lush very well kept up. The rough was as expected, and the sights between holes and around the course aren't going to blow you away. But, if all you care about is good greens and... More

Bring plenty of extra balls as you're likely to lose some in the desert when you play here. With challenges created by bunker placement and proximity to desert wasteland, this is a fun course with great views of downtown Tucson.

Asked the starter if I could tee off as a single on the back nine to avoid the four or five really slow groups in a tournament. Answer of course is no. Now on pace for a five hour round behind slow inconsiderate groups, no Marshall to enforce pace of play. Incredibly mediocre course with fair to poor condition. Don't... More

Below average course but ok since it is cheap golf. Felt like out a old country course, not well kept up at all, wide open

The course is in much better condition with OB than any time in the past 5-6 years with the city in charge. I hope they can continue to make improvements. The bunkers need lots of conditioning. They are still way to firm and have stones in them. The fairways and greens are good. It's a good test.

Was able to use my GolfPro app to book tee times for the following day. Friendly staff and the course has a great layout. Played it twice over a five day period and it wasn't super busy. Recommend to any golfer to consider Tucson's public courses.

I won't be returning anytime soon. Not because of the course, it's a good course to play challenging and some points easier than others. It's because of the security there mainly in the parking lot. While playing in a tournament 5 vehicles were broken into. One in particular an older truck the front grille, head lights and bumper were stolen.... More

Played this course 3 times in March and April of this year and it got steadily worse. It appears that too many tee times are booked and there are long waits on all the holes, our last round took more than 5 hours, that is way too long and we won't be back for that reason. The course is in... More

This course has some interesting holes. It has deep ditches to get over and at least two of the holes have a narrow green with water on one side and sand on the other. The course is in good shape and it was fun golfing here. We will be back.

Found this course while cycling on The Loop. Stopped for lunch. Staff was great but the food was ordinary. Went back a few days later and played the course. It was terrific. Did the front nine in less than 2 hours and the back nine just over 2 hours. The course seems quite long so was very surprised how quickly... More
