You want to see a lot of the big cacti? This is the place! Parts are more like a forest than a desert. In addition to the Saguaro, you'll also see a wide variety of other Sonoran fauna. I'd give it five stars, but I...More

The trails are well-marked and relatively easy to navigate. The desert vegetation is fascinating including the suguaros, the ocotillos, the creosote bushes and more. There are excellent mountain views in every direction and it is possible to see all the way to downtown Tucson. We...More

This is a beautiful area, right in the suburbs of Tucson. We really love riding the Desperado loop because it flows so well. The other trails are more technical but have some great Saguaro Cactus to stop and take a Kodak moment. Many hikers every...More

The sweet water preserve has some very fun trails that are technical but have young and old enjoying them. The Preserve is in the Tucson mountains and has some of the most beautiful display of desert to explore

Fun, scenic trails, cacti all around! Desperado loop was perfect for beginner level riders, Saguaro Vista was rockier and a little more challenging but great views and lots of fun, various loops to connect to, all well signed. Southwest Trekking met us at the trailhead...More

This is a very popular trail area so if you want to hike here we recommend heading out early to beat the crowds. There are also many mountain bikers that ride in this area so you find yourself sharing the trial with them. The elevation...More

This is not what I'd call a hiking trail. It's basically pretty flat. Nice groomed trail. Great place for pets. Bike rentals on site, which was pretty cool. Lots of bikers here but never felt crowded out. Lots of different paths.

There are many trails here, most of them relatively easy to walk on (ie, not loaded with rocks) and the climbs are gentle. If you love cactus: the large saguros, the barrels and the opuntias, they are all over the place, with beautiful mountains as...More

Beautiful scenery and desert vegetation. Nicely set out trails. Great views. Mountain bikers and hikers all share the trails in a respectful, pleasant manner -- not always the case in other places they coexist.

This is a county park and they do not charge nor require a pass. If you go to the country website, there is a trail map that you can print, but the trail map sign at the trail head is much better because each of the... More
