Average food, average beer
Mar 2017 • Friends
Everything was fine with no major complaints, but nothing was stellar either. Typical brew pub food, but the beer was on the bitter side.

Worth the drive
Jan 2015 • Couples
This is another must stop for us when in Tucson. The brewery is a bit out of the way and a 20-30 minute drive from the area we are staying. Perfect day to stop and enjoy some of the unique beverages and snacks.

We had just eatten so didn't order food other than a bowl of fresh hot chips that couldn't be resisted. While enjoying them, Emelia (sp?) came out of the kitchen and told us we MUST try her fresh salsa with them and she brought us a container....OH YES....this is some of the best salsa I have ever tasted! So wish we were hungry.... Next, Emelia brought us a sample of the amazing pork she was in the process of cooking for 8 hours in the blonde ale....super good!

We've now adjusted our schedule to be back before we leave as one of the Cuban sandwiches with the pork is a must have along with more salsa fresh!

Great Beer and Lunch Again!
Feb 2013 • Couples
Another place we chose to visit again on our repeat visit to Tucson. Kind of out of the way, but the food is wonderful, I had a salad, and my husband had a Ruben sandwich. I honestly don't know which was better-both were so good! And of course the beer is great, and we went mid afternoon so service was good, too!

Had a good time
Went there for a late lunch/early dinner with a few friends (all in our 20s). Live music, home made chips, tasty cold cut sandwich, and good beer. They have beer for every pallet. I had no complaints-- however the staff was slightly portentous and not very helpful in selecting a beer. If you like full flavor that isn't too intense go for the red ale. If you prefer lighter beer go for the blonde. The others are good too if you love beer and don't rely on the staff of a place to make your experience it's a great time.

Not a chain, but a real brewery!
Aug 2011
This is a beer brewery in a industrial building that serves great bar food and awesome beer brewed on site. When we visit we always come here, sure it's warm inside, sure the atmosphere is not a BJ's but experience something else out of your box. Mostly a following come here like people who shop Trader Joes. Wish I could buy Nimbus in Calif. The burgers, pastrami, fries, wings are all good. If you're a snob, stuck up, Mr. Ego or looking to pick up then go to BJ's and don't crowd up this fine place, tables are hard to come by.

Disappointing go to BJ's
Feb 2011
The food was oK but beer was a big disappointment. All the beers were way too sweet. We did a taster of all the beers currently available and none were above mediocre and all had a strange sweetness. Go to BJ's for much better beer and food.

food was terrible and undercooked
I see the advertising that this place is going out of business, "Save the Nimbus". Dont know what the he** that is all about. Maybe its because they really are in trouble, because the two times I'vwe been there in the last 6 months, the food was undercooked after ordering well done. The staff is huffy, bordering upitty. They act like youre bothering them when you enter the restaurant. Boo! 4 thumbs down, including my toes.
