My wife who is a English Professor at U of A and she is always dropping into Antigone books to see what's up, they even had her book. I thought I would check it out myself, and glad I did. Wonderful books from not so well known authors fill the store. Drop in and discover the next book to read... More

This wonderful bookstore on 4th has a small, carefully chosen selection of a wide range of books and other items. I'm interested in African Art and was able to find several very interesting, thorough, beautiful books on the subject. My friend is into obscure books about automobiles and came out with a handful. Their selection isn't very large on any... More

A great gem of a local bookstore laden with books, gifts, souvenirs, etc., etc. The collection of bumper stickers is vast and laden with belly-laughs, especially at those with anti-human hangups. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Great fun!

Lovely to still have indy bookstores in the world. This one has a wide selection of fine reading material for the entire family, from southwestern favorites to well-chosen children''s lit. The staff are smart and funny—their picks subtle and intriguing. Parking off- street, and other fine amenities that many stores no longer make available. Delightful.

It's a great little stop on the way to dinner. They have tons of cute little gifts and impulse buys and oh yeah a lot of books. It's totally solar powered which is great and the staff was super friendly. I totally recommended checking out some of the local stuff they sell I got a great prickly pear homemade soap... More

Antigone Books appears to be alive and well as other independent books stores continue to bite the dust nationwide. It is always a pleasure to stop here and to see customers browsing .. and buying. The shop caters to a variety of reading tastes, with a small but eclectic selection of books, including novels, biographies, crafts and lesbian/gay topics. There... More

100% solar powered with a diverse (though small) collection of books. This store also features a fantastic selection of funny and artistic cards and a wide range of lined and unlined journals (a writer's dream!) in a bunch of sizes. Limited parking next to it, but parking around the area. If I lived in Tucson, I'd support this local bookstore!
