Need an outdoor spot that everyone can enjoy? This is it. The park has The Japanese Gardens (free), beautifully landscaped paths winding around koi ponds, a tea house and lush gardens. There are wooded paths for walking and biking, a train that children of all...More

Try the little San Antonio park train - nice relaxing break to see the old cypress trees and woods in the Brackenridge Park. Entrance is across from the zoo entrance, just a short walk from the Japanese gardens.

A nice, large park to bring the family to walk around and relax. There is a small train that you can ride as well. Weekday was better and the weekend get's pretty full, almost too many people.

Visited here early in the morning, well before the zoo opened. There were quite a few water birds hanging around the stream. A lot of various domestic ducks. But also quite a few black-bellied whistling ducks. There are also lots of black vultures hanging around!...More

Be sure to check out the amusement park located here. It is very inexpensive and lots of fun for the small children, with lots of kids rides. Go early in the year for horse rides. You can book a birthday party here for little money...More

The trails were great for my son and I. I took our jogging stroller and had no issues. It wasn’t very busy but there was enough traffic that I felt safe walking alone with my son. There are so many ducks to look at! The...More

It is heartbreaking. A nice place to walk through, but FULL of unfortunate souls. Let us say a prayer for all of them.
