This expansive park offers a bit of something for everyone. Next to the zoo, it has trails through wooded areas containing its own wildlife. The San Antonio river meanders through the park offering opportunities to observe waterfowl, as well as the kids a chance to...More

We had a lovely train ride, and the 'engineer' was fun and gave us lots of history of San Antonio. But the rest of the park seemed spread out and rather inaccessible. Maybe we just need to explore more, because it was beautiful. But we...More

Try the little San Antonio park train - nice relaxing break to see the old cypress trees and woods in the Brackenridge Park. Entrance is across from the zoo entrance, just a short walk from the Japanese gardens.

A nice, large park to bring the family to walk around and relax. There is a small train that you can ride as well. Weekday was better and the weekend get's pretty full, almost too many people.

Brackenridge was probably our most frequented park while we lived in San Antonio for four years. It's adjacent to the zoo and the train ride that goes through and around it is cheap and a great ride. There are several play areas, lots of shade,...More

We love the train ride around the park and then walking around all the trails. It's a large area where you can picnic with the whole family or walk the nature trails. If you want to feed the ducks remember NEVER FEED THEM BREAD. That...More
