You can't get more Texas than Pearl beer. This brewery is a beautiful landmark that stands out when driving on the highways around downtown. The limestone structure is now used for events, excercise classes, a culinary institute and more. You can also learn about the haunted stories surrounding it and about what was once the largest brewery in the entire state. You know it's big if it's in Texas and this is the largest of its kind.

I think this place is really, really overrated. Large farmer's market offering lots of fresh and baked items. Upscale familiar stores whose prices are insane since you can find a lot of these items in the downtown markets or in your local mall. Great coffee shops but loose their charm since the grounds made me feel like I was in... More

The entire area around the Pearl Brewery is being transformed to a very nice entertainment district. There are a large number of restaurants, specialty shops, coffee shops, etc. that are all pretty top notch. We were told of the area by a local we had met and we are very glad we stopped by on our way to Austin.

This area has been around since the late 1860s. I've watched the renovations and growth during visits over the last three years in the Pearl District. They are amazing. It's along the Rio Grande River, highly visible from the river or the land. The area is now teaming with interesting boutiques and restaurants.

A real hip place in the afternoon and evening. Lots of restaurants (two in the old brewery itself) and lots more going on. There are lots of chic boutiques, some bars, a really good bakery. We spent an enjoyable afternoon wandering around and had a good meal and two desserts at three different places.

We ended up being here during a veterans event, so they were slammed with people, but we still had a great time. Beer was super delicious and the staff who were working their butts off were super friendly and ready to pour as many brews until all were served and then some. Great seating and outdoor area as well. I... More

Ride the Rio taxi to the pearl for $16. Many choices for food and drink. Cool shops. Lovely park like public areas. Really special. Close to museums.

It was by chance that I stumbled upon the Pearl District while visiting San Antonio. The area is truly remarkable with shops, restaurants, sites and much more to enjoy. Pearl District is a pedestrian-friendly redevelopment project that encompasses a 16-city block area. This location was once the home of the Pearl Brewery. There is much to see and do in... More

Full of shops, coffee houses,.Ocala restaurants and a hotel all set in the historic old buildings of the Pearl Brewery. Staff was very friendly and the various bars/rests were rustic and unique. My last visit was in 18u8 when it was a brewery a day gave out free samples

Thank Jim J
