Our guide Isec was very knowledgeable and passionate about the landscape. We enjoyed his informational comments along the Route. The water was the perfect temperature as was the sky. The Racecourse was relaxing yet exciting. We managed to catch the last rafting weekend of the season on September 4th. The water was low but there was still some exciting Rapids

Loved, loved, loved our rafting experience! Our guide Judah was wonderful- so knowledgable and interesting. Plus he has a great sense of humor. All of four of us (including two very picky teenagers) had a fabulous time. Kokopelli Rafting is the way to go!

We did an impromptu rafting trip that was scheduled the day before. The organizer on the phone was super helpful and patient with us in planning the trip. They also provided excellent directions to get to the meet up spot. Once there the guides were both super nice and kind. Myriah especially seemed excited at all points in the trip. She told us stories about the surrounding area and gave us a chance to swim in the calmer parts of the river. When we got stuck she was super patient and didn't ever seem upset if a member of the group didn't know what to do.

Took the kids white water rafting down the Rio Grande Racecourse. Our 6 year old was scared at first, but our guide, Jack, talked to her and made her feel better. Both our kids ended up loving it and wanting to go more! Jack from Kokopelli Rafting Adventures was knowledgeable, experienced, safe, and fun... perfect for our family! 🥰 He even brought a snorkel and blow up alligator so he could do a trick for the kids at the end.

Jack and Abelino were great guides! My wife and son had a fantastic time and we enjoyed the complete day on the river. Kokopelli is a first class operation.

Our first, family whitewater rafting trip went great. With one of us very apprehensive about whitewater rafting, due to a previous bad experience elsewhere, the trip down the Race Track section of the Rio Grande River, quickly erased that fear. Our guide, Maren, was very helpful, giving great instructions for us to navigate the rocks, and remain in the raft. The Class 2 and Class 3 parts that we experienced this July, proved nothing to be anxious over, though, as a couple of drunks in innertubes floated just behind us. Overall, a fun and safe experience. But here's a tip: the launch spot for the Race Track (which is the main area of rapids in this section of the State) is a lot closer to Taos than it is to Santa Fe (we drove back from Santa Fe, having been in Taos the day before).

Jack was a great guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the 1/2 day trip and wished we had done a full day instead! The whole crew was awesome!

This was my children’s first rafting trip! They had no idea what to expect, but it was definitely not pouring rain and 50 degrees at the end of June. This could have been a not so great experience for all of us, but our guide, Jack made our trip absolutely enjoyable and memorable. He is extremely good w/ kids, so I would definitely request him for family trips. He is super informative and just plain fun! He held all of our interests and made us totally forget about the weather conditions.

We had Jack guiding our family of five on half-day Racecourse trip in early July 2021. He was a perfect guide for our mixed-age group: kids aged 7-13, my wife and me. We started out nice and easy, with Jack gradually introducing the rafting concepts - then when everyone was comfortable, he steered us down the river achieving a well-balanced mix of thrill and rest. What set him apart was what he delivered beyond the rafting skills: a native Santa Fean and an educated and articulate young man, he kept the older members of the group interested with a wealth of information. Passing various points of interest on the trip, we examined and learned about prehistoric native petroglyphs, a local gold-mine swindler's property, the river valley geology, and more. All in all: a great guide, an enchanted location, a great company, and a great family adventure - not too intense for young kids, but still fun for experienced rafters.

How old does a child have to be to do the race course level 111, also is there an experience staff member that goes with you

There is always at least one highly experienced guide in the boat leading you down the river. I don’t know what the minimum age is, I’d just call, they’re very helpful on the phone.

Is the month of August is the story about me time to go to Santa Fe New Mexico
Kokopelli Rafting Adventures
Santa Fe, NM
Hi, I'm not sure if I understand your question, but August is a great time to visit Santa Fe. Warm, sunny days and river rafting is a great way to cool off! Let us know if you're in town. We'd love to go rafting with you!

Hi! We will be visiting Santa Fe around April 25th of next year...will you be open for rafting then? Thank you!
Kokopelli Rafting Adventures
Santa Fe, NM
Hi @BaySpring! We typically open around the last weekend in April. You can give us a call, place a no-obligation quote, and we can get you in our system for a the weekend nearest to the end of April. If it coincides with your stay in Santa Fe, we can easily convert your quote to a confirmation! We'd love to go rafting with you and the water is great in the end of April!
Time Critical questions. Tomorrow April 23rd, I have an opportunity to Raft with friends but need a few items. Helmet, PFD, Wet Suit.
TA says hours are 8A to 6P today and tomorrow. Called no answer, left a phone message.
Does Kokopelli rent these without having to rent a whole trip package?
Kokopelli phone message says rafting season begins April 28th, so is Kokopelli open and renting yet?
Thanks
I didn't talk to anyone over the phone this morning as I was already on the river rafting.

Hi, galeie. What would you like to know about this attraction? What is the latest we can do a rafting trip? We will be available from 3:30 pm on 6/15/17, staying at Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. Is location an issue?
Kokopelli Rafting Adventures
Santa Fe, NM
Hi Galeie, Thanks for your inquiry. On the surface, it is unlikely you would be able to make it from Santa Fe to the river access (about 60 minutes away) and get a 3hr rafting trip in before dark; since we're in a deeper canyon, the sun sets earlier behind the mountains. I encourage you to give us a call though, to discuss your situation in detail. We can be reached by phone at the number on our profile! Thank you!

We can't decide on all of the different choices. My son is 13 yrs old (more like 16 yrs old in his size) and its a family activity. We are first timers. Any suggestions? We'd like to begin on a level III. We are staying in Santa Fe and will have a car.
