We did the tubing trip and were very happy. It took about 4 hrs to go from stop 8 to stop 11. I guess it depends on the water level on the day where you start and stop. The water was not moving fast but...More

My family & I did the 3 hour rafting trip during the week. It was so much fun!! Would definitely recommend! Fun for all ages..our kids (4,12,15) all enjoyed it! Bring lots & lots of bug spray, the mosquitoes are terrible! And don't paddle too...More

Our family had been looking forward with great anticipation to this adventure. Unfortunately, due to high waters, the rafting was cancelled. The management made every effort to let us know in advance, but we were outside of cell service. Once we arrived, they were gracious...More

It was my first time kayaking. The people there were friendly and helpful. The river was beautiful as were the surroundings. We saw eagles, cattle, hawks, cranes and several other forms of animal life....it was incredible. Marker 14 was MIA so we did get a...More

The staff was great. We went on a Saturday and they were booked solid. Way too many people going out at once. Other than the amount of people, it was a good day.

It poured the day of our canoe trip (totally not the outfitters fault), but trips are run rain or shine so weather is an important consideration. We pre-booked the 11am midweek special and arrived at 10:30 to sign in, watch the safety video, etc. thinking...More

This was my first time taking a tubing trip with SRO. Their operation was pretty well organized for a very busy holiday weekend. That being said having a reservation is important. The tubing trip was very relaxed. There is no need for a guide. They...More

The Shenandoah River from 7 miles on either side of SRO is the most beautiful stretch of river in the valley. The fishing is extraordinary and the folks at the Outfitters are life long residents with the expected knowledge and expertise to ensure a safe,...More

You don't have to stay at the park. We went during the week & didn't make reservations. They have a limited number of rafts, but a lot more tubes. If you're going on a weekend I would probably make reservations just in case.
