This trail is paved and level. Beautiful, peaceful walk. Walk can be short or several miles. This connects seamlessly with the Stones River Battlefield National Park and appears to be very safe. Best we have ever seen.

This is probably my favorite greenway - although it is relatively short (around 8 miles) it has beautiful scenery and historical points of interest at each end. I recommend planning a whole day to really enjoy!

Thank you, tax dollars, for the Stones River Greenway!!!! Great for dog-walking, cycling, roller-blading, or jogging, the greenway is a haven for birds, a protected area for Tennessee flora, and a treasure for Rutherford County.

Although there are many open fields, there are no soccer fields on the battlefield. There are adjacent soccer fields behind SportsCom (2.2 miles), Barfield-Crescent Park (2.4 miles), or various close schools.

I believe they close 30 minutes before sunset everyday. To be honest, I do not really remember any waterfalls, but if you do want to see some waterfalls, you should go to Fall Creek Falls or Burgess Falls.
