With a long and illustrious history, MNA evokes the very spirit of the Colorado Plateau and serves as a gateway to understanding this unique region. Whatever your time frame, this museum will enhance your experience of the richly diverse cultures, landscapes, and ecology of the Plateau. This museum looks small from the outside. Don't be fooled. The amount of information packed inside is amazing. We have visited several other museums about the evolution of the earth . Also the native Indian tribes , but never so much information in one museum. There is just too much to mention , and too much to take in ,... More

Great little museum with an astounding display of the area's history. A must to appreciate the area's fantastic geologic and societal history. Easy to get to, and a charming walk down through a little gorge right on the property.

This museum has a sparkle that cannot be put into words. A great collection and introduction to the Native Americans who live in the area. Great bookstore.

This small museum is a beauty. Thoughtful presentations of the historical elements of the area make it a super starting place for any Southwestern Arizona adventure. Each galley has an individual focus & each is designed for an overview -- or for hours of delight. There are nice walking paths outdoors & an excellent book shop. A separate museum shop... More

This museum describes the Native American tribes of the Colorado plateau from prehistoric to modern times. It has baskets, jewelry, woven artifacts as well as tools and pottery from early periods. There is a replica of a modern Kiva with explanations of function. An outstanding gift shop if you want high quality Native American jewelry.

We almost did not go to this outstanding museum. What a great loss it would have been. One of the best museums I have ever gone to. Dinosaurs, Native American jewelry, Native American Pots, Original Art Gallery, wonderful gift shop. A must see when you are in Flagstaff.

Plenty of great displays on the geology & Native Americans of this part of the Southwest. And the special exhibit of Grand Canyon paintings was alone worth the time & reasonable ticket price. The museum shop store had a good selection of books to help enrich one's visit to this area.

This museum sort of summarised everything I’d encountered the last 10 days, bringing the Anasazi, the Navajo, the Pai, the Supai and the Havasupai all together to show a well put together timeline. Aside from that it had the usual wall of Katsina (not as good as the one in the Heard museum in Phoenix), rugs as wall hangings and... More

This was well worth the 3 1/2 hour drive from Bullhead City, Arizona. Went there solely to see this. And it was well worth it. Excellent cultural history displays and geological information, along with amazing artifacts. Don't hesitate to go!
