Bad snowy, icy sidewalks prevented us from doing the shopping we had planned. We enjoyed visiting the Co-op and had lunch at Paniera Bread. Too icy to walk to many stores, but did enjoy the ones we visited. Parking is bad.

I love the atmosphere, the people, the shops! The history and pride of the community is amazing and we always make sure to visit when we are in town.

Typical urban style living and restaurants. You may think that you're in New York City. Many cute boutiques and ethnic restaurants. If you care to walk around the neighborhoods you will see beautiful architecture in the homes surrounding the main Elmwood Avenue area that Buffalo is so well know for.

There are a few stores to shop at. We went Saturday and they only opened at noon. Clothing was mostly expensive.

We were in Buffalo from the UK to meet friends who took us to Elmwood Village to show round this smart place. It has a number of smart, stylish restaurants, bars and coffee shops, this is what Buffalo is now all about. It is great neighbourhood to walk about, there are also numerous shops and some delightful buildings.

Since I married an American from North Tonawanda, I have been to Buffalo many times now. You simply have to visit Elmwood. It is a nice area that shows some decay but lots of restoration. There are quirky shops, cafes and galleries. Every time I visit there is something new, and it definitely feels like the place where things are... More

Elmwood Village hs been called the "Greenwich Village" of Buffalo. Full of restaurans, boutiques, bars, co-op groceries, galleries, museums, coffeeshops, bookstores, etc. It's easy spending a full day walking the length of Elmwood Ave. Situated close to Buffalo State Univ., the Village is a hangout for college students as well as for young kids and older folk. Over the years,... More
