I love spending time in Elmwood Village. There is a great vibe going on, and an awesome variety of shops, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. There are always people walking around, whether it is spring, summer, winter, or fall. The only congestion in the experience can be trying to find parking, so just park a block or 2 away from the... There may be some interesting shops, etc. along this route but it's not pedestrian friendly unless you feel like walking the very looong street (2+ miles??). So many areas are rather shabby with numerous houses in need of repair. The only highlight is Pano's restaurant at 1081 Elmwood Ave (north end). The food was terrific, and if the weather's good,... ...if it weren't for the snow, of course. Lexington co-op offers world cuisine and fair trade coffee daily, and I picked up a fresh bad l plant and homemade soap for a friend as a hostess gift. The boutique shopping could have emptied my bank account, given the plethora of beautiful artistry. And I was walking distance from everywhere I... More

Small shops, very alternative. Plenty of restaurants. Nice to see those old houses now occupied by new people that keep that place living.

Beautiful homes, parks, museums, and businesses. Albright Knox and burchfield penny are here, along with Delaware park and a few of Olmsted's beautiful parkways. Check out Lincoln avenue and bidwell to see turn of the century mansions. 700 block of elmwood has nice little shops and restaurants. Panos is a great place for lunch as it opens up nicely in...
