We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a great time skating at Fountain plaza. They Zamboni and take care of the ice. Lots of assistance devices for new skaters. There’s a store to buy hot chocolate, pizza, pretzels, etc. Best of all, skating is free. Just check opening hours before going.

24-7 / 365 this little spot is open and the later it gets the more Police there are - lots of great eateries from the Hyatt (Genesee Building) to smaller Ethnic fare finally coming to re-vitalize Main Street. Keep those cars and People coming and perhaps we can MAKE BUFFALO GREAT AGAIN!

This was right near our hotel, the Hyatt Regency. I love to ice skate, so I brought my own on the plane from Florida since I had seen this place. It was just as advertised. Lots of fun and we felt like we were with the locals.

My daughter suggested going here on a frigid winter evening. It was actually a lot of fun and it was pretty quiet. Skating is free if you have your own skates, $2 for kids $3 for adults to rent skates. There is a place inside to put your skates on, buy some food, warm up and also restrooms. They have walkers for little ones to hang on to, to help them get around the ice. There's music and lights. It was great! I wish I lived closer I would go more often. Street parking in the area was free on weekends and after a certain time on weekdays, tho we didn't know that until we put in several quarters. You're welcome Buffalo. LOL My only complaint, which is very minor, is the ice was pretty rutty when we were there. It was late in the day, it may have been very busy earlier, and I'm not sure if they clean it throughout the day. I did not fall at all and I haven't skated in years!

Such a fun place to go ice skating in the long, Buffalo winters. Last time I went, it was free to go, unless you had to rent skates or a locker! Nestled right in downtown Buffalo, you can take the subway, and there is a stop that will let you off directly at Fountain Plaza.

Great place to ice skate. Can't beat the price (free) with inexpensive rentals available. Great place to take in the sights and sounds of Buffalo. Lots of dining options nearby on Chippewa.

Now that the ice rink at Canalside has opened up, all the crowds have gone there to leave fountain plaza and rotary rink with more space to skate. You can't be the price of free admission and just $3 for rentals. Plus it's close to restaurants and bars.
