Museums and mansions line this beautiful street. Some of them are open to the public and have guided or self guided tours. The homes of the stinking rich, not just the ordinary rich!!! Lovely drive, some of the mansions are stunning, others are an acquired...More

I want to talk about the overall Newport mansions/”cottages” experience as a whole, so maybe this Bellevue Avenue topic is the best place to put this. This is a beautifully preserved slice of what is called the “Gilded Age” of the wealthiest of Americans. Some...More

These homes are amazing. Some beautiful, others museum like and still others quite obnoxious and ugly depending upon taste. Definitely not owned by anyone other than the very wealthy. Every turn provided a home beyond the reach the common person. Accessible by walking or ticketed...More

A mansion around every corner an amazing drive or walk, so many gorgoeus homes mixed in with Huge mansions, fabulous landscaping just a joy to spend time driving or walking. Touring the mansions is a must. I toured 6 in total.

If you go to Newport—try to see every spectacular “summer cottage” along this avenue. Simply Breathtaking!!! And a bit over the top—but still amazingly beautiful!!

Bellevue Drive feels like you are on a movie set as it is filled with incredible mansions and manicured lawns that you never see in real life! It is worth driving here just to see the ironwork on the gates, let alone the buildings.

Every three years visitors can watch the coaches ride along Newport Ave! It is quite a special sight to see with teams of beautifully matched horses pulling 19th century coaches along Newport's most famous of streets!

A nice little historic landmark a few blocks from the harbor. A little disjointed, the hotel occupies two different buildings. We stayed at 30 Bellevue on the third floor. The room was small but adequate for our needs. We were not in Newport to watch...More
